After renting thousands of surfboards and body boards, we are expanding our service to the new and returning Outer Banks surfing enthusiast for 2008. Ocean Atlantic Rentals has been on the Outer Banks for 27 years and we have prided ourselves on giving our customers the best service as well as the best equipment. We will be offering surf lessons at all four of our locations and for all types of surfers. We have modified our Surfrider School 2005 to better serve all students.
Surfing 101: Intro
A two-hour lesson taught by an experienced surfer for your group of three to four. The lesson teaches water safety, paddling, catching the wave, and riding to the beach. NOTE: You will be placed in one of our intro groups or you can organize your own group. $50.00 each group member
Surfing 102: The One-on-One
For those who want individual attention so they can concentrate on specific aspects of their own surfing. Designated times only. $75.00
Surfing 201: The Double-Up
A private lesson for two, designed for couples, siblings, or just two good friends who want to ride waves. Lesson is two hours. $120.00
All lessons include the use of a soft or hard board and wetsuit if necessary. Age requirement for lessons is 10 and up.

RESERVATION CANCELLATION POLICY:
We require 7 days prior to your arrival date in order to receive a refund. If you cancel with less than 7 days notice, an in-store credit will be issued only. No refund will be issued with less than 7 days prior notice! No exceptions!

FAQ'S AND POLICIES
All costs include surfboard, wetsuit, wax, and surf instruction - (you are welcome to bring your own surfboard to use if you choose)
You are strongly suggested to register at least 48 hours prior to your lesson time choice, as we do book up fairly quickly.
Surf Instructors will have final say over the wave conditions.
We will reschedule lesson if there is a threat of lightning, the ocean is unsafe for swimmers, and/or there are posted
"RED FLAG" conditions.
Rain, cold air, or cloudy skies does not constitute bad weather.

Any medical condition must be disclosed before the lesson to a member of management at Ocean Atlantic Rentals.
All students must know how to swim.
We suggest that you arrive at the specified store location at least 15 minutes before the scheduled lesson time.
All surf lessons include necessary equipment, but we do recommend that you come prepared with all beach essentials such as suntan lotion, beach towels, t-shirt, something to drink, and a digital/35mm/or video camera to catch all of the action!
All lessons are taught by CPR certified instructors with a combined total of over 30 years of surfing experience.
